Grey Owl Engineering, a leading EPCM based in Calgary Alberta, had a fantastic time at the 2016 Annual GPAC (Gas Processors Association of Canada) Golf Tournament. We said farewell to the beautiful and always short summer in Calgary by taking the Grey Owl Engineering team out to the golf course. Much to our dismay, nobody at the GPAC tournament got a hole-in-one. As a continued annual drink hole sponsor, we had the pleasure of meeting so many bright engineers who were eager to take some strokes off their game and come out on top.

While the golf was fun as always, we had a little competition to throw in the mix! We tee’d up a marshmallow and took turns driving it down the range with hockey stick…very Canadian isn’t it? Due to the challenging aspect of driving a marshmallow with a hockey stick and after a couple drinks, the participants ended up breaking the stick unfortunately. Even so, as engineers, resourcefulness and fixing things is our second nature at Grey Owl. With the half-mangled hockey stick, Robert Leeds successfully drove a marshmallow 117.1 feet down the range!

Thanks to everyone who showed up and chatted with us about our new technologies amongst other things. We had a blast and we are charged with energy and determination to power through the last quarter of 2016. We continue to strategically innovate as a company at Grey Owl Engineering and invite anyone to contact us regarding our new advancements in process engineering design technology. We hope to see you next year at the GPAC tourney!
